Project Management Certification
Whether youre building a bridge or designing a web site, in an increasingly project oriented world, professional certification ensures that project managers are ready to meet the demands of projects across the globe. In a fast paced, budget conscious time, nothing could be more important for your career or business than to have certified project managers leading your team. This course will prepare students to sit for the International Project Management Professional (PMP) certification exam.
The course gives students a common language instantly recognizable to other PMs. Students learn the nature and mitigation of risk, causes of delay to on-time delivery, common barriers to completion and post-project analysis.
The Project Management Professional (PMP) certification exam upgraded on 2 January 2021 and now focuses on three new domains:
People
emphasizing the skills and activities associated with effectively leading a project team
Process
reinforcing the technical aspects of managing a project
Business Environment
highlighting the connection between projects and organization strategy

Instructor: Bryan Cook
Bryan brings an impressive history of career excellence. After earning his B.A. and MBA from St. Edwards University in Austin, hes run numerous multi-million dollar projects for major companies such as Ford Motor Company, Knott Berry Farm, John Deere, XCEL Energy and HDR. Additionally, he has completed an extensive list of professional development courses with a strong emphasis on project management, leadership and best practices. Mr. Cook teaches Project Management Fundamentals as well as the Project Management Certification Preparation course. He has taught the Project Management with PMP Certification Prep Course for the City of Fort Worth and the City of Denton, with 100% exam pass rate. Approximately 100 participants have gone through his class in the past couple of years. Bryan has a passion for teaching. His ultimate gift is his willingness to share his knowledge. Whether hes in slacks and a suit coat teaching Project Management, or boots and jeans teaching kids horsemanship skills, he finds joy in teaching.
